Will this let me type letters and print them so I can send to my grandchildren

I would also like to listen to my CDs and look up recipes

    • I think this system is too budget for your needs. I highly recommend getting one with a GTX 1080Ti graphics card. Otherwise, your letters will not print properly because this system wont handle the fonts.

      • Please, sir. My familie

      • Hi Atangk

IM new and trying to build myself! I saw these deals but either the apparance was not appealing or lacked features I needed. I have bought these items so far
        1. CPU: Intel Core i7 8700K Processor 12MB 3.7 GHz LGA 1151 6 Core 12 Thread Desktop CPU = 478 (Futu Online)
        2. PSU: EVGA Supernova P2 650 Modular 650W 80 Plus Platinum Certified Power Supply = 156 (Futu online)
        3. Case: NZXT S340 Mid Tower Computer Case, Glossy Black (CA-S340W-B1) =150.10 (PLE computes)
        4. AIO: NZXT Kraken X62 280MM AIO Liquid Cooler with AM4 Bracket = 227.20 (PC Bytes)
        5. RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2X8GB DDR4 3000MHz C16 Gaming Desktop Memory RAM Kit = 263.20 (PC Bytes)
        6. SSD: KingstonA400 120GB 2.5" SATA 7mm = 50.17 (Futu online)
        7. SSD: 500GB Samsung 850 EVO M.2 (2280) SATA SSD = 167.10 (Computer alliance)
        8. Motherboard: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS X HERO ATX Motherboard Intel Z370 LGA1151 DDR4 M.2 Type-C RGB= 399.20 (PC Bytes)
        9. Graphics Card: 1080 ti (waiting for a deal around $ 1000) =

        Total= 1900 + 1000 = $ 2900

    • No - it doesn't come with a printer… or grandchildren.

  • For those interested in this deal, check out the discussion on these models from my previous post here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/373291
Edit: I would update the price comparison for people to compare an equivalent custom build pricing, but it appears this ebay code is only for certain items and not across a set of stores, so if you want a cheaper equivalent custom build you may have to wait for the next 20% off sale.

    • Pretty good deal, a popular budget choice from the link I posted just above. Build quality isn't fantastic as they use very cheap parts, and only 1 year warranty. If you have the smarts to build your own PC and can get windows for cheap, then you could potentially make an equivalent spec PC for cheaper, and have better parts with 3 year plus warranty. But if you aren't that tech savvy and dont have a friend who can build it for you, then this represents a good budget gaming PC that should be fine for most games at 1080p. The only real downside is it doesn't have an SSD for the boot drive which means it will be a little slow. You really need an SSD for the boot drive, but the motherboard does have an empty m.2 slot so you can easily buy one and install it, and then clone the windows OS from the HDD to the SSD, then wipe the HDD and you have a really speedy gaming computer :) Again if you arent that tech savvy, then number 3 from my list above is the exact same spec computer, but with a 120GB SSD boot drive for $120 extra, which may be worth it for you, even though you could get an SSD for half that price.

    • I bought one of these a month ago.

Exceeded my expectations, which isn't saying much, as I was coming from a laptop with a 950m video card.

      As Riczter above says:

"You really need an SSD for the boot drive".

  • this seems like a good deal at $1720, it is $2200 for any similar systems i can see at shops like PLE
    https://www.ple.com.au/Products/626927/PLE-Hex-Intel-Custom-…

if the price difference was $100-200 i would go local shop, but thats a big difference…

    • Closest ive found from PC stores would be This from PCCG for $2099
but the dell still has wifi and bluetooth and still is almost $400 cheaper.

Closest i can get building it yourself is $1769 from PCCG (not including postage cost for parts or windows 10.)

      • Axel, I’m impressed you can get a build your own from pccasegear cheaper than one of their systems
