I purchased an item from this ebay seller.
The seller provided a "tracking number". "Tracking number" from AUSPOST shows item as delivered, but I did not receive anything in my mail.
ADDIT-His "tracking number" shows that it is delivered to my state. However, it is the cheaper kind of tracking (i.e. it only shows the state that it is delivered to, but does not show the exact address and does not require a signature on delivery.)
ebay seller
Seems like other buyer has similar issues of non-delivery over the same item.
What are my options here to get back my money? or is it a lost hope.
I have contacted paypal and ebay. They have rejected my claim.
AUSPOST only provides insurance for the SELLER.
This also serve as a reminder to check buyer's feedback even in ebay. Ebay buyer's protection does nothing if they provide a pseudo tracking detail.
Best Regards,

ADDIT1: Tried to contact AusPost, and this was the reply I got:
I’ve checked the scans and can see that your Express Post letter arrived at the Adelaide Delivery Centre, who are responsible for delivering letters to your address. I can confirm that it arrived on 10th May 2018 and was taken out by the postie, for delivery with the regular mail.
Our Express Post letter service is an economical way to get your important documents from point A to B as quickly as possible. There is limited capability on the tracking of Express Post letter when a Signature on Delivery has not been purchased. I’m sorry to advise that there are no further steps we can take to confirm this delivery.
Next time you are sending or expecting important or time sensitive documents, I recommend that you try the signature on delivery add on service. By adding this, we will be able to provide you proof of delivery so you will have peace of mind knowing who the parcel was delivered to. There is some more information available on our website at auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/optional-extras-domestic.html.
does it not show address delivered to?
can you call auspost and ask them?
if you exhaust those options, do a chargeback
