Nubia Z17 Mini 6GB Ram 64GB Rom Smartphone $172 USD (~$248.53 AUD) @ Joybuy

90

Good quality phone, has most common frequencies and NFC, except B28. Dual Camera with No OIS EDIT: It has Optical Image Stabilisation according to official manufacturer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxTaTlolu1A

I know this isn't the 5.5 lite version that was posted the other week, it's the more compact 5.2 incher. It's what you do with it that counts.

Who can argue with 6gb of ram and 64gb rom for under $250 AUD? GOLD, and BLACK versions' only.

There is a lot of support on XDA for these Nubia phones, many roms available with OTA updates including this model.

This 'Flash Deal' has been running quietly for several days and they keep resetting the counter…

  • Nubia Z17 Mini has 5.2", what the normal would be? or the Plus??
    - misread, Lite is 5.5".

    • There was a model S released I believe, with some small changes.

  • Vendor in title please.

  • +2

haha the off loading ZTE product rush begins….

At least they should do a better price. Previous Geekbuy deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/369589 is way better.

  • Page for this phone won't open?
    Sounds like awesome deal though!

    • Works fine for me on several devices. Try another browser/device.

    • only the 4gb ram model though…

  • Have you got this phone?
    Phone any good?

    • It's great, better than my ZUK Z2 (in many ways) except the ZUK has the 820 cpu. Almost on par with ZUK for XDA support, but the Z2 is king for XDA/ROM/MOD support. Overall the Nubia Z17 lite/mini is a better phone with a big xda following.

      • How is camera?

        • Camera is good, also improved on different Roms' that are available. Check out reviews of the phone.

        • @Bamboozle:
how easy is it to put english on it?
          does it have micro sd?

        • @taoz: yes, but uses second sim slot.

        • @Bamboozle:
Is it easy to flash it?
For those who never done before?

        • @taoz:

Yes, honestly the most difficult part for a newbie is just getting TWRP recovery on a phone, after that it's a breeze. Look up 'what to backup TWRP', a guide on the TWRP website should come up to explain why backing up things like the EFS partition is especially important.

So install TWRP recovery, backup phone using TWRP, store the backup file somewhere (phone or on your pc), download alternative rom, put it on the phone (internal or sd) and then use TWRP to install (always follow the install guide, which will just say to delete system & cache etc).

As long as you backup your phone (stock rom) with TWRP before you flash a new rom, you'll be fine.
