My son's tell me this was the car to get as it increases in value. Is there other cars that are also increasing in value.

What is the purpose of this purchase? Investment? You want to buy a car and hit two birds with one stone? You need something to get to work? Because at the end of the day, your purpose determines viability.
as a toy
Go ahead and buy it. Must be a rare car as I've never heard of a Holden Commore
Are you sure you haven't? It's kinda like the Ford Falco
LOL… Darn spell check 😊
Least you saw the funny side of it.
On your question, so far it seems like a collector car that will appreciate in value as mostly men in the 35 to 55 age group grew up with commodore's and falcon's being the dream car. Will that still be the case in 10 years time?
Could very well keep going up but remember condition is everything with collectors so doubt it can be your everyday car
Bugatti type 37, Mercedes gullwing, Ferrari 208.
How many do you want and how deep are your pockets?buy it. stick it in your garage. start it every 3 months. drive up and down your drive way. keep tyres filled. put it in one of those pressurised air tents.
it will be worth decent money in 10 years.
It's already worth big money. They RRP'd for 160k - only 300 made and all 300 sold upon announcement. One was auctioned a few weeks ago and went for 250k.
Mercedes Benz AMG A200… I’ve heard that it has all the bells and whistles…
Surely someone here works at Westpac and can suggest a high yield investment vehicle to buy?
….that post will live on forever!
Skyline GTR32?
As with most things, anything that is rare, desirable & interesting.
In 2004 I bought an SLR 5000 Torana for $8k, Brock died and the demand went through the roof and I sold it for $30k a few years later. It was sheer luck, I had no idea the demand would jump so significantly.
The car you mentioned, meets all of the criteria. 300 made, the most powerful Australian muscle car ever and its the last one every produced in Australia. For as long as there is collectors for Australian Muscle cars and no more are created in the future it will retain or increase in value. Its a very rare set of circumstances for a car to be known to be worth more than its retail price before its sold.
