Swapping Mobile Numbers on Different Carriers?

I have 2 mobile numbers, both accounts are in my name.

One account is a post-paid Optus account, the other account is on one of the Kogan Mobile 365 day plans.

Basically, I'd like to swap the mobile numbers, while keeping everything else in place.

Is something like this even possible? :)

Nope, Pretty sure if you port a number away from a plan it cancels it. CMIIW

Here's another idea: the Optus contract runs out in August. If I port from Optus to Kogan (on a cheapo 1 month plan), maybe Kogan allow me to swap numbers if I have both accounts with them? Then maybe I could port out the original number to Optus/Voda/Telstra?
