Which museum do you actually want to visit?
If it's mainly the Sydney museums you would be better off with the Qld membership which doesn't have the same restriction of residing outside of Sydney.
I have the same membership. I never get asked for ID at Scienceworks or Melbourne Museum. I have used my Zoo's Vic membership in Sydney as well, and was not asked for ID.
Yeah same here, never been asked in the 2 years I've had the membership. Same deal at scienceworks
