Trend Micro Maximum Security 2018 (3-Device, 12-Month) [Digital Download] $16 (after $20 Cashback) @ Catch (Club Membership Req)

31

Discounted to $29 and can claim $20 cashback from Trend Micro here bringing the total to $9 + $6.95 shipping.

Title includes shipping cost ($6.95) which is removed if purchasing more than $45 in one transaction.

Cheapest alternative I can find is 2 devices for $59 at JB HiFi

This requires a club catch membership, which is $6.50 per month if you don't have it already making this $22.45, still far better than JB's price.

Cashback claim details from catch website:

"$20 cash back promotional period is for purchases made from 03/05/18 – 31/07/18. Claims must be made within 30 days of purchase date as per the claimant’s proof of purchase.

Your claim must be submitted online at: www.cashback.trendmicro.com.au"

  • That's a very confusing title. I would put the fact that a cashback redemption is needed to get it at $9 in the title.

Edit: Nevermind; it's since been edited.

    • I was having issues with the character limit, or else I would have included it initially.

  • I use Nod32 and just keep changing the trial username and password. Anyone else do this or just me?

      I use Windows Defender. It's free…

      • Thats cute

      • Supposedly even better than it use to be.

I use Malwarebytes, sadly lifelong keys aren't sold anymore, and it isn't worth the subscription cost to me, but manual scanning every now and then works perfectly and is free.

      • Malwarebytes isn't antivirus though? I use Malwarebytes for malware scanning and Nod32 for virus scanning.

      • The free version doesn't have real time protection though.

        • Yep, that's one of the main reasons to buy it, or in the past, pirate it for a free amnesty key.

Eh, $16.50 isn't amazing considering how much keys go for. This is more of a lure to get you to sign up to Club Catch, and forget to cancel the membership

    • True, but considering some think $60 for 4 devices 12 month is a bargain I thought I should share. I imagine there's some people who'd prefer to pay extra and get the product from a trusted retailer, like with Windows registration keys.

      • To be fair, no one except the OP thought that was a bargain…

        • But nobody negged either, or gave a cheaper price at an alternative well known store.

          @BradleyDS2:

So hang on, this digital product incurs a shipping charge?

          So it's $29 + $6.95 shipping + $6.50 club catch, - $20 cashback = $22.45?

Jees the OP changes every minute lol

        • @Spackbace: Yep, I should have checked that before posting, my bad. Honestly, I didn't expect a shipping fee to be charged for a digital product, like doweyy, but I should have checked before posting.

          @BradleyDS2:

In that case, $19.99 for a key from a high-rated seller here

Cheaper, no hassle or waiting for cashback or signing up to Club Catch (which is generally pointless).

Neg to highlight the cheaper offer.

        • @Spackbace: Alright, thanks, could you post that and I'll close this deal :)

Although this deal is cheaper to those who either have a club catch membership or are doing an order over $45 already.

You can also get the 5 Year One at this link for $15 after cashback as well in the cart if you're not a club catch member I believe.

    • +1

      I think you made a typo, it's 5 device 1 year :P

Good alternative though, thanks for sharing!

      • +1

Whoops lol, I didn't realise it had a shipping fee actually so scrap that! Seems to be about $22 after cashback for the 5 Device, 1 Year.

        • Ah, I didn't realise that either, thanks for pointing it out. Just added in the shipping cost.

Weird that a digital product charges a shipping fee…

  • we used to get paid for this.

Sorry to disappoint you but according to the cash back terms & conditions it states that purchases must be made at an authorised reseller. Catch would not be an authorised reseller.

    "5.
Purchases must be made at authorised Trend Micro resellers including but not l
    imited to:
    The Good Guys, Harvey Norman,
    Joyce Mayne,
    Domayne, JB Hi
    Fi
    , Bing Lee
    ,
    Officeworks
    , Radio Renta
    ls and Leading Edge Computers."

According to here that Catch is not listed as an authorised resller. I looked it up alphabetically and Catch is not listed. Select Reseller under Partner Type. https://www.trendmicro.com/en_au/partners/find-a-partner.htm…

So Catch may have got these keys from an unofficial distribution channel since they are obviously not a Trend Micro authrorised reseller. So they may likely knock back the cash back claim due to not bought from an authorised reseller.

    • Oh shit, good 'catch'!

Just marked the deal as expired to close it.
