What is it with the rose gold craze, looks tacky and cheap.

    • +2

I agree, if it wasn't rose gold I'd buy it. OP, do you know if the deal is on the other colour variants?

      • Looks like that seller only has the Gold. It seems to be the most popular colour currently. I Like the colour, Something other than boring white!

    • china

      • +1 ^^^^ This shows how much the world is drooling over the huge Chinese market and RMB!

thanks OP - Not huge on the colour but love the price. no one else will see it so i wont be a princess about it!

i wont be a princess about it!

No, you'll be a fairy with a rose gold toothbrush.

All of OzBargain knows now! Get 'im!

  • Add to checkout and says cannot deliver to this address. Have tried a street address, Post Office box and a business. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

  • Says $174.99 now.

    • Ignore. Discounts at checkout.

  • I'm looking to upgrade my toothbrush. Can anyone convince me why this over the Oral-b pro 1000 that TheWireCutter recommends? Or would you suggest anything else? Thanks!

    • Lots of savings with this one, but honestly the features get gimmicky after the 1000. Like the pro 2 2000 has 2 weeks battery, but this has 12 days which I'm going to put down to Bluetooth. I can't see myself checking the app.

I would definitely get a li ion version though

    • Actually i was looking at getting the Pro 2000 on here for $80 until i found this one for not that much more.
Also you get 3 brush heads with this one, not just a single one like on the lower series ones. That's an extra $20 value right there!! Ha ha. Also the rechargeable travel case is also something i would use. I really don't care for the Bluetooth connectivity garbage though.

      • $26 and you can get 10 heads @ Costco.

      • Any big difference between the 1000 and the 2000 tho? (Also was that on the amazon site? The 1000 is selling for 80 on shaver shop)

    • +1

i thinks the top end ones are mainly gimmicks. note that the whole range, from the budget ones to the really expensive ones, all claim up 2x plaque removal compared to a manual toothbrush

      • I got this and the $20 one. There is a huge difference for me atleast.

    • +1

I would choose pro 2 2000 over this one anytime, just do some research you will find the 1000 and 2000 has the best value of money

  • Thanks OP!

So this one using the li ion battery? Last longer and won’t deteriorate after months and years?

    • Yes. Double checked.

Oral-B Australian website says it is and the Amazon link states: "Batteries 1 Lithium ion batteries required. (included)"

  • I have the Philips sonicare and it's awesome. Does such a great clean. How does this style compare?

  • Looks like sold out.

    • Just bought mine. It's still available

  • My sonicare toothbrush died after less that 2 years zzz. Has anyone had both and can comment if this will this make my teeth feel as clean? That philips sonicare was awesome and would like something of similar cleaning ability

I'm a big fan of Oral

    • +2

You must have forgotten the B in that sentence, hmm.

  • +2

Thank you very much. This is $14 cheaper than costco, and costco even has it on sale

    • Costco has this exact toothbrush on sale NOW? Do you have a pic of the ticket?
If so would it be better to buy it from Costco as they have a better returns policy?

      • And maybe better color?

      • Here you go, it's on the last page at the top, different colour it seems.

  • No pic sorry. I was there on Sunday and saw it then. White colour

Can anyone comment on the oral-b heads vs generic heads on ebay?

    • I tried some cheap unbranded ones from ebay once and they were horrible. Really really stiff and felt like they weren't covering much during brushing. As opposed to the Oral B ones which would get around the tooth more if that makes sense. Maybe they would have softened a little bit after use but I didn't give them enough chance to find out.

    • Original are better quality. Just wait for a deal. They're also a good filler item at shavershop, etc to qualify for free shipping.

Ebay ones tend to break quickly, which never happens with the original ones.

  • Still looking for the top end model that is quiet.
