Thought about the DIY route, but have an amex and will just use the screen replacement insurance
If you have screen insurance just go authorised repairer.

I have said it before, but I really appreciate the Apple genius bar. I don't care about Apple v Samsung v Google but I definitely care about after sales support and the ability to walk into a store and get my phone fixed. I don't want to post it off and cross my fingers and hope that it gets fixed properly.
Definitely miss that aspect of owning an iPhone, was 100% much easier for support and repairs as well as every repair store having stock of the replacement screen which majority of around me dont seem to have for the Pixel
