Microsoft have a bunch of Assassin's Creed games currently on sale. Origins isn't the best price it has been, but I think this is the cheapest the Ezio Trilogy has been so far on Xbox One.

The Xbox 360 titles require Xbox Live Gold, but are backwards compatible with Xbox One. Most of the games have also been cheaper previously (or free with Games with Gold), but there's still some good discounts for anyone wanting to fill in the collection that may have missed out previously.

Xbox 360
Assassin's Creed - $3.98 (Was $9.95) (Gold Required)
Assassin's Creed 3 - $7.47 Was $14.95) (Gold Required)
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - $11.98 (Was $29.95) (Gold Required)

Xbox One
Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Trilogy - $27.98 (Was $69.95)
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - $11.98 (Was $29.95)
Assassin's Creed Rogue: Remastered - $34.97 (Was $49.95)
Assassin's Creed Origins - $59.97 (Was $99.95)
Assassin's Creed Origins is cheaper at cdkeys (plus AC Unity) - $38.39

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is still part of Games with Gold until May 15th.

You're right about Assassin's Creed Origins from Microsoft is not a good deal. In fact it's an awful price.

Assassin's Creed Origins XB1 here for $38.39 with a free Assassin's Creed Unity as part of the sale.

    • Thanks for the link! I wasn't going to include Origins in my original post, but a search of OzBargain showed that deal as expired.

Was available at EB recently at $25, but you had to buy 2 for $50.

But this doesn't needs disc to play so much better.

    • much better

      opinion

      • If with fast NBN with unlimited downloads where you can wait say a few hours, much better. If with really slow internet much less better. Download is a big 42.52 GB so fast internet is required.

      • Don't see how needing a disc inserted to play can be better?

There are numerous reasons why someone might prefer a physical copy.

Quick question, does having a disc reduces the use of the built in HDD?

I've always preferred actual discs mainly because I can resell them and get some money back which is a plus (assuming they're not more expensive than the download version).

        • @clse945111: They fully install to the hard drive. You just have to insert the disc each time you want to play it.

        • @clse945111:

No it needs the HDD. Aactually it installs the whole game content from the disc plus downloads any game updates in the background while doing so. The disc check during game startup is to check for game ownership as part of the license.
