I don't think it's a bargain if cheap food is likely to be contaminated by pesticides etc. I find myself checking country of origin on foodstuffs more and more these days. If it's good enough for daigou to buy Australian then it's good enough for me.

Yes. Pakistani is normally cheaper. It comes often in a cloth bag and Indian one is normally plastic.

I bought the 5 kg pakistani basmati rice from the last deal in woollies for $9. When opened, I found some white insects in the rice as well. Returned them.
That adds flavour
Even the Premium isn't much (any?) better than Sunrice basmati IMHO.
