Looking for some thermal wear to put on under my top and pants. Ideally would be a long shirt and long pants. Not sure where else to look other than kathmandu? A place with gloves/socks aswell would be great. Would prefer local stock as I want it asap

Kathmandu have incredible sales for their thermals. Never pay full price.
Aldi when they go on sale
this saved me from freezing in japan recently
http://www.uniqlo.com/au/store/men/innerwear-lounge/heattech…Would you suggest the middle level of warmth out of the 3 for walking around overnight in sydney?
The lower level is fine for Sydney.
Layers is the thing though, and a windproof on top makes all the difference.
Aussie Disposals have good stuff too.
kathmandu ultra core - RRP = $70
On sale = $25
+1 For uniqlo, should just about be time for them to be putting out their winter Heat Tech range. Be warned, the higher warmth version is very very warm, i was sweating in +2 degrees.
So I should go with the middle version out of the 3 for walking around outside over night in sydney?
Agreed. Bought the high warmth range and felt so warm during a trip to NYC in feb.
I like the “extra warm” version. Kept me warm in the snow in Japan and NZ (with a good jacket). I find the material of the extra warm feel better than the regular ones too?
Look at this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/376647 Perfect timing
The Katmandu ones we have are pretty good and we got them at a really good price last year. You want to layer the thermals and other tops. We also use the mink blankets. We got some really nice thick bamboo socks from Escape2 at the DFO; they are very warm but they do take a while to dry when you wash them.
Ice breaker has been good to me.
More importantly, what and where is your application?
Icebreaker, North Face, Under Armour, Uniqlo. Sports brands such as 2XU will also sell thermal wear.
Guess what a google search came up with
