A powerful anti-oxidant that helps to protect cells from the damaging effects of free radicals, and a superior free radical scavenging capacity that other known anti-oxidants (ie vitamin E)

Collagen (connective tissue) biosyntheses support, thus protecting against skin breakdown and visibly reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

Important protection throughout the body by strenghtening capillary walls, and supporting the integrity of the body's vascular and circulatory systems.

Any real proof from a source like an accredited Medical journal that this stuff actually works ???

I noticed it was on "Today Tonight" a while back, so straight away, I'm inclined to believe it is just a another way to scam money off people…

    • Note: second post from this guy, similar kind of advertisement and never any response to requests for scientific evidence for proof.

      • Obviously finds it too hard to answer questions… (or doesn't know the answers ???)

        • Oh, I suspect he knows the answer alright…but it would not be in the best business interests of any snake-oil merchant to tell the truth! :p

"INGREDIENTS:100mg Vitis Vinifera extract (equivalent to dry seed 12g) 40mg Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) 20mg Silicon Dioxide"

So it's basically just 12g worth of grapes (probably a handful worth) and half an orange worth of Vitamin C. Sounds like super-expensive garbage to me.

Go and buy a bunch of grapes and an orange, much tastier!

A quick web search finds that:

INGREDIENTS:100mg Vitis Vinifera extract (equivalent to dry seed 12g) 40mg Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) 20mg Silicon Dioxide

Vitis vinifera (Common Grape Vine) is a species of Vitis, native to the Mediterranean region, central Europe, and southwestern Asia, from Morocco and Spain north to southern Germany and east to northern Iran.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitis_Vinifera

So despite the technical name, it is an extract from a grape.

    Grape seed oil controversy
A number of grape seed oil vendors have claimed that grape seed oil is high in OPCs. However independent studies have indicated that grape seed oil is actually the grape product with the lowest concentration of OPCs. This is because OPCs are polar molecules which have very low solubility in nonpolar solvents such as oils.

Of course, just because it is in wiki doesn't mean it's true. But lacking any medical journal references, I'd be wary of spending $100 on ground up bits of grape, quartz (silicon dioxide) and vitamin C tablets.

Also, silicon dioxide is otherwise known as sand.

Perhaps, but by calling it "Silicone Dioxide", some people are more willing to fork out $109.50 plus shipping

Personally, I'd rather just go down to my local fruit shop, but $5 worth of grapes and eat them sitting on the sand at the beach… That way I also get a good dose of vitamin D, and save $104.50 (plus shipping)…

      • They're arguing that you need to eat the sand, to have it do any good…

      • I quite literally got a small dumptruck load of it the other day for $85.00, delivered! If I'd known I could eat the stuff too I'd have gotten more!!! ;)

        Nomnomnom…crunch…nomnomnom! :p

Looks like SPAM to me. If it's discounted off the RRP, doesn't mean much as everything is. I'd like to see the regular price which is most likely this price.

seems to be a rush on these supplement type ads…….don't people eat food anymore?

  • SCAM. Worthless product.

    • Beyond worthless.

  • From the site:

Anthogenol's chemical fingerprint, signifies the proprietory isolation technique and the legal right to boast the subsequent clinically validated health benefits….

I'd love to see some of those clinical studies. I can't find any on Google, though.

    • I'd like to see the fraud squad check some of their 'chemical fingerprints'! ;)
