If the app was usable I might bother. Menulog app has to be one of the worst ive ever used on iPad and iPhone. You cant even search a restaurant name, you have to scroll to try to spot it, the checkout continually doesnt work. Major fail. Avoid.

That's only the tracking of the sale though. Menulog will most likely decline the cashback though when it sits down to consolidate all its sales over the period after it sees your coupon code being used.

Just some clarity on this deal for all our members, there are two very important terms to remember.

(2) Use of any coupons and/or incentive offers/links (including Amex/Mastercard/Visa discounts) will invalidate any cashback and/or any cashback claims, including our cashback guarantee, unless specifically listed on this site.
To ensure you receive 12% rather than 3%, you must check out as a guest and ensure you're not logged into your Hotels.com account. If you believe you are logged out but still see your name in the sign in area, ensure you select 'not name'. The reason for this is obvious as Hotels.com won't pay out on two different rewards. Your final click before purchase must be from Cashrewards. Thank you.

Better off using the 10% off if it works at your hotel as cashback will only be paid up to 75 days after your stay. The 2% difference would be lost interest in the time that you have to wait.
You're unlikely to lose the difference in interest. I may have stuffed up my maths but i would have thought the annualised interest rate you would have to earn to break-even on that difference would be around 90%.
E.g. if your booking was $1,000, you can either get $100 off now or $120 back in 75 days time. If you get $100 now, you need an annualised interest rate of 89% to earn an additional $20 on that $100 amount in 75 days. Anything less, and you'll finish out ahead by waiting the 75 days.
Now, is the extra hassle (having to hope it tracks, etc.) worth 2% - well, that's a different question altogether. And once you factor in the Hotels.com rewards program, the equation changes as well. But plenty of Ozbargainers are using Cashrewards for 1% or 2% cashback at other retailers, so calling out a 2% difference here really isn't any different in this situation either.
This might not be as good a deal as it seems as hotels.com have a scheme - on your tenth purchase of a room from them you get the 11th free based on the average price you've paid for the original ten.
To people who do a bit of booking this is worth 9% alone. Then there's the normal cashrewards cashback on top. With this 'special birthday' deal you mustn't claim the extra night free or you lose this cashrewards cashback.
I guess that for people who only book motel/hotels occasionally the 12% deal is a good one.
Given up on cash rewards. Booked through Expedia using MasterCard voucher. Despite store rep also spruiking in the deal comments, guess what, cash rewards claim voucher precludes cashback.
Is this one time use only?
This would be good if the tracking for Menulog actually worked - it is the only company on cashrewards that fails for me all the time now.

Hi TA, not using the App. going through the website on desktop, just like all my other purchases via Cashrewards. Menulog is the only one that always fails to track thesedays.

Yep, same thing happened to me.
Always order on web site on same device, no ad/cookie blockers - about half a dozen times it did not track.
It seems to be OK again now though.
Menulog is always really reliable for me, approves very quickly as well. Have you tried incognito mode?
I've a feeling my order wasn't tracked today from CR. Usually I get a notification in about 2 hours once I place the order. It's been more than 5 hours and haven't got the tracking email yet. I never use the app. Just use the browser :(
Mine tracked today but shows only 3% cashback in my tracking. I had logged out of my hotels.com account and have confirmed this by logging into my hotels.com account and today's booking is not in there. No other discount codes used either. Is this going to be corrected automatically or do I need to cancel and rebook?
