        You said that. Not me.

        • Yeah, but we know you were thinking it.

      • After 10 years, maybe he'd prefer some variety.

    • +2

I read that last word wrong.

      blow

Traditionally it's tin or aluminium FYI

Does he want custom license plates? ;) Or those show fake plates for the pool room?

I dunno, it's been 10 years, you should know him best!

    • I dunno, it's been 10 years, you should know him best!

That's the funniest bit! 10 years together yet ask random people online.

Oh well, I'd suggest a kitty/puppy to take care of together for the next 10 years.

who the (profanity) would downvote me saying I would take my wife with me?

          Someone who's married?

        • @altomic: who doesn’t get a joke?

      • Haha

Are we going to see another post "10th Anniversary Gift for Wife" soon?

If yes, OP please tell us what you want, so that we can put that in the comment. :)

  • An engraved hip flask sounds like a nice gift - make sure you fill it with something worthy!

a bottle of whisky and a book on how to make whisky cocktails,

if my wife is reading this post that's what I want for my 10 year wedding anniversary gift. it'll be even better if we can go to japan to pick up that bottle of whisky.

it'll be even better if we can go to japan, IN MY PRIVATE JET, to pick up that bottle of whisky.

  • Since you’ve provided no budget I’m going to suggest a trip away somewhere nice. It can be Australia based like up north somewhere on the beach in a nice resort. Maybe even Hawaii if you can snag a deal on flights.

Then spend a week enjoying each other’s company. Go out for dinner with a nice bottle of wine.

For the moment tell him to book the week of your Anniversary off work. Eg if it’s a Wednesday book Monday - Friday or Tuesday to Tuesday. If it’s a Friday maybe do like Thursday - Wednesday. Then figure out what you’re doing.

    • If he hasn't read any Terry Pratchett books I would suggest buying Good Omens and The Colour of Magic and the Light Fantastic (which really are one book) as part of the gift.

By the time you get him the 40+ books in the Discworld series you can cover a number of anniversaries.

  • A BJ

    • A black jumper? How boring is that for a gift…!

    • We all thought it, but most of us are mature enough not to write it.

      • LOL! Take your maturity and stuff it up your frigid mcdonalds chip

Get him a decent bottle of single malt whiskey, a paperback or ebook from one of his favourite authors and a ticket to Sydney on one of those weekend away air fares that incl. accom

That way he has peace and quiet away from family to enjoy his book and have a good relaxing drink with no interuptions, duties such as cleaning, looking after the child, putting garbage out or mowing the lawns or being nagged

    • So basically just what he could enjoy EVERY DAY if he wasn't married.

If it’s tin or aluminium (10y) - what about a beer subscription service?

You get different craft / unique beers every few weeks for 3/6/12 months.

I’ve bought a few of these for friends and they’ve loved it

Just make sure the service you choose is a set number of units per month - one group I tried seemed to change from 12 bottles to 8 bigger bottles in the second month which seemed dodgy

    • From which site

Its been ten years, give him a break! :p

    • Haha…

  • +2

    A Hall Pass?

  • +1

    threesome

  • Give him something you can both enjoy for years to come. Like a helicopter or if that is a bit expensive, a sports car.

    • haha yes helicopter sounds fine !

  • been in a relationship 9 years, most gifts never get used, yet if I don't get some useless expensive piece of shit that takes up valuable space in our home, its an act of war.

I got so sick of it that that I suggested we should just give each other gifts of cash that go into our holiday fund. Best thing I ever did! No more crappy useless gifts, and the more I give, the more I actually benefit.

    • lolz that what we have been doing as well…

      • What is the point of giving a ‘gift’ of cash to your partner that then goes into a savings account? Especially if it is mutual saving. It is just saving, not a gift.

        • its savings for a holiday.

It's better than most of the pointless gifts people buy each other, that hardly ever get used and take up space.

        • @seano2101: agree that it is a good idea to save for a holiday etc, just seems pointless making it a gift.
