Online Payment Solutions - Alternatives to Ezidebt

Just curious if anyone has had experience of integrating Ezidebt in their website?

Also, are there any other alternatives to it?
I guess can do Paypal Autosubscrition but i am guessing that would be higher fees.

  • Braintree (division of PayPal) has recurring billing and is 1.75% + 30c per transaction.

    • I connected Braintree but no reply as yet. What has been your experience?

      • My girlfriend uses it for her business. Aside from the automated stuff, she also has Zoho Invoices connected to Braintree so she can send manual invoices and receive credit card payments. It has all worked smoothly for her but she hasn't needed to contact support so I don't know how good they are in that area.

        • Thanks

  • +2

Stripe (easy setup, can start same day, money received transferred next day except the 1st transaction)

eWAY (setup takes a few business days, money received also transferred next day)

Highly not recommend PayPal if you have alternatives (non eBay store), they can just on a random day decide your account needs verification (you need to send ID and ABN proof for verification, I’m assuming they’re holding your money for interest somewhere) you cant withdraw $ when this happens until they OKed your account, happened to me 3x, never again

Also Shopify or the big bank (e.g. Westpac, CBA, usually they can price beat these companies if you already have the figures)

    • Thanks. I didn't realise stripe had recurring direct debit. Presumably this is with their standard type account.
Do you have experience with any of the ones you listed?

      • eWAY and Stripe are used concurrently, PayPal is as I've mentioned above.

        ACCOUNTING
From accounting perspective, eWAY is better because they EFT you the full amount the next day and charge their commission at the end of the month in 1 go.
Stripe will EFT you the amount minus their commission for every transaction, this creates a mess in our accounting software (MYOB & Xero) as we need to add additional entry in the existing invoice.

        INTEGRATION
eWAY provides a simple button to create secure credit card link called Pay Now button if you don't know any programming.
With Stripe you definitely need advanced programming skill, no button like eWAY.
If your website is WordPress/Joomla/etc, there are web apps you can use to integrate these automatically for you, e.g. Shopify and WooCommerce

I originally only had eWAY, the reason I got Stripe is because I can charge any currency. You can only charge in AUD using eWAY.

Just sign up to both, there is no ongoing fee, only commission per transaction.

        • Thanks. I'll check eway. I should say we want a marketplace solution. So we want to direct the payments into merchants bank account. So, something like kickstarter type platform.

  • So no one has ever integrated directly with visa and MasterCard?
