Just went into Tarocash looking for something to buy with the free $50 birthday voucher i received. Tarocash currently have up to 50% off selected items. There are some bargains to be had. I saw a yellow check shirt for $19.95 marked down from $79.95.. which is even better than 'up to 50% off'.

My brother managed to pick up:
1 x Magnet Reversible Belt (black/white) $19.95 was $49.95 (it was marked at $29.95 but scanned up at $19.95.. SCORE!)
1 x Print Tee $29.95 was $49.95

My other half managed to pick up:
1 x Aspen Leather Belt $14.95 was $59.95 (price tag clearance said $19.95, but scanned cheaper)
2 x check shirts $39.95 each was $79.95 each.

EDIT: Also, sprint shoe was $59.95 now $19.95. Its a suede sort of casual looking shoe. Its still nice looking.
Tarocash Rabens are also $19.95.
Some formal shoes were marked down to $49.95 from $99.95. Or $99.95 from $149.95

          Yeah, no minimum spend. Got my stuff for free. It's very clear on the voucher too. Also applies to sale items so I recommend using it at an outlet store eg. DFO. Best Australian birthday freebie IMO. Looking forward to the next one.

          Nothing wrong with short sleeve checkered shirts :-P Yep there are some long sleeve formal shirts on sale too. Also some formal shoes.. $50 marked down from $100.

    Does the birthday voucher actually list your birthday? Do they ask for ID to check your birthday? I'm uncomfortable giving them my real birthday…

      The birthday voucher gives you like 2 months to use it from your birthday month or something. Cant remember if it lists your birthday. They didnt check id when i went in.. Im female and got a $50 birthday voucher.. what can i use it for?? Of course i was going to give it to the bf.

      So true. Tarocash clothes are horrible nowadays. There is not a single tee i would wear from that shop. But then again; a freebie is a freebie :D

        I concur. Tarocash is the worst quality!! Fabric is paper thin and quality of stitching is terrible.

        Last time I was in Tarocash they probably only had three or four different tees anyway… They're more of a shirt brand. I have some older stuff which I have worn heaps and haven't had any issues with, but haven't bought anything from there for well over a year now.

        Also graduating from uni kind of decreased my need for casual shirts.

    ive used my b'day voucher three times (registered in 2009 - they accidentally sent me an extra one that year) and on all occasions didnt have to check my ID!
    Good as in free!

    I visited a couple of Tarocash stores with my $50 birthday voucher and didn't like the way the staff hovered around me. Like to take my time and see if there's anything I really like but feel a bit hurried-up by the constant prompting. I think the person behind their staff training is the same guy who came up with the idea for Clippy in Microsoft Office.

    Went for a quick look in Melbourne CBD. All belts are 34 or larger and most are $29.95 or more, and scanning at those prices.

    I have a pair of Tarocash pants. They are the worst quality, stitching is terrible. Paid $50 and used my birthday giftcard before their 50% sale started. :( i could have got them for free now but even thats too much for these pants! Never again.
