Do you know if you can get to the gift shop without buying a ticket?
Yeah just walk into it from the back. I doubt someone will stop you. If you find the 'Midtown diner' (I think that's what it was called) you'll find the gift shop.
I really wanted to buy a Thor candy bowl but it was massive and didn't have the luggage room to take it on the flight home.
Good to know. I was in Melbourne for a while a couple of weeks back and was looking to kill some time. I stood outside the ticket box wondering if it was going to be worth the money, and eventually decided against it, so good call me. :)
Went at full price, misses was begging to go. Was pretty meh. Wouldn't spend the cash tbh unless you're a diehard marvel fan and want to see props from movies etc.

Not worth it. I'm a huge Avengers fan, have been since 1988.
There's basically 1 costume for each avenger, a few 'facts' and then about 4 interactive experiences.
Might be worth $10-20 but not what they're charging and I wish someone warned me before I bought my tickets last weekend.
I liked the gift shop though. Bought tea towels.
