Long time viewer, first time poster. While I was looking for stationary at Officeworks in Glebe (Syd), I saw a box of 12 PaperMate red pens reduced down to $1.10. To put it in perspective, next to the box was a pack of 4 for about $9. I suspect that it's not a nation-wide discount, but maybe worth checking your local Officeworks if you want a year's supply of red pens :)

The article is bunk like most of those types of stories. The journo just seized upon a silly suggestion that was contained in a Queensland Health leaflet ("Good Mental Health Rocks") distributed to schools, offering tips about improving students' mental health. No evidence that teachers were ordered to stop marking in red ink or that a significant number of teachers stopped doing so thanks to the leaflet.
Ahhhh, that's it then. I blame all my sociopathic tendencies on my primary school teachers who used a red pen to mark my homework. It's all so clear now. :P
