Can you please provide link to this item? I can't find it in the link given. Definitely not listed under FM transmitters section.

  • Was out there today and picked one up out of pure randomness. Tried tuning it to a some unused frequencies hooked up to my iPhone 4 and it's not too bad — I would say the quality is actually slightly worse than a regular radio channel you'd tune into but for $8 I'm not gonna complain too much… Around 20 left as of 3pm today. Takes batteries or you can plug it into your typical cigarette lighter thingo (which is surprisingly included). Can save up to 3 frequencies into memory. It also takes the room temperature which is erm cool? :/

This is it here :) http://www.blingblingtronics.com/index.php?main_page=product…

RRP $40 and from the Internet only $4! Even adding 40c to that $4, tell me, are we being ripped off by local retailers or are we being ripped off by local retailers, Gerry? :o

Ive seen generic FM transmitters that look exactly the same as expensive branded ones like Belkin, but didnt have the word Belkin on it and had a 1 digit price tag instead of 2. Cant comment on the quality of the Belkin one, but I bought mine for $5 and Ive been using it for 2 yrs now :)

Doesn't mention the Über Feature - temperature display. Looks the same so probably does it. Good spotting.

I got one off Dealextreme for like $6. Works great I use my iPhone 3G in the car all the time with it =D

  • Do these have any interference? What's the audio quality like?

    • With the right frequency and assuming that the radio is placed closed enough to the transmitter, you won't get any interference.

Quality wise it shouldn't be any worse than any analogue FM radio.

    • Do these have any interference?

In Syd I've had no luck with FM transmitters, even belkin. The FM band is so congested it simply isn't possible to find an frequency sufficiently isolated to offer consistently good sound. Country driving is fine!

  • nope no interference once you find a good channel.

    • Any good channel recommendations for Sydney area?

      • Sydney is a problem for these things since they seem to have filled in all the "gaps" (between commercial channels) with little low-powered local area communitity channels. What I found was that I'd have a good quality in Bankstwon, but when I drove to Parramatta there'd be a new local community channel there that overwelmed the less powerful FM Transmitter in the car.

  • ITs Better then those ebay's 2-3 FM transmitter, but not that clear though, you can hear the distortion in high volume.

and 87.5 gave me the best signal and clarity.

  • Saw this at Harvey Norman for $20 (after 50% discount). Great price posted here.
