Just got an email from EB saying that you can trade any 2 current gen games (ps4, xbox one or switch) with a trade value of over $5 and get Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze for $29.
Pretty good deal as likely we all have a couple junk games in our collection. Remember of course to check to ensure said game trades in for $5 or more by asking at your store or calling.
Any xbox 360/ ps3 games worth over $5 at EB?
Fifa 18. The rest? Probably under $5.

Went into Big W as suggested above, but unfortunately Batman Telltale series had gone back up to $42
So wandering into JB Hifi and went through all their pre-owned games. Cheapest from the above list is NBA2K16 at $12. So bought 2 copies.
Off to EB games and traded my $24 purchase in for $50.95 off Donkey Kong.
I bought 2 copies of the PS4 version, so not sure on XB1, but it was also $12 pre-owned at JB (can't promise it will trade at the above $5 rate on XB1)
If you can't find NBA2K16 then Fallout 4 was $14 so still makes the deal a $23 saving. There was one or two others that were $14 as well. (once i found NBA for $12 i was just looking for lower ones)
Alot of the other games were $19 at JB, which means only a $13 saving and probably better off just buying at BigW/Target or price matching on the day.

It seemed like a LOT of the PS4 games traded in for at least $7 at the lowest level, except for games like Destiny and a bunch of sport games.
Thanks for the run-down! My closest JB has NBA2K16 @ $14 and Fallout 4 at $19 though so it pays to double check the local pricing I suppose! Far Cry was the only $12 game I could see
From the rest of the thread, people were doing much better at CEX than i did. I went to my closest one and they had no games below $12. And i felt it was very risky buying older gen games without knowing for sure they would make the $5 minimum.
Yeah, I've got to go a bit out of my way for CEX so considering time and petrol, it probably evened out anyway for me. Win some, lose (less than others) some!

My jbhifi were clearing out Psvita games for $5 each traded 2 in at eb for $50 lol. I wander if you return the donkey king game to eb with in 7 days do u still keep the full amount
what games was it? that's a surprisingly high trade in value
Am surprised many Vita games are above the $5 minimum. (unless of course they ignored that rule for this particular trade)

Brought 4 PS4 games in to EB.
Traded the 2 lesser valued ones in for the deal, Farcry 4 and Infamous Second Son.
Then Traded Dragon ball Xenoverse and Journey in and payed the $29 off and got $5.50 on a gift card.

I just did this today. My receipt shows Donkey Kong at $80 value and the two trade in games at $58.60 value together. I paid $21.35.
They said value on the trade in games were $7 each, plus 15% for my EB world card.
Traded, Battlefield 1 and For Honour xbone.

They wouldn't give me the 15% on top of the trade value (which is fair enough and i wasn't expecting). I think you lucked out in your favour.
Game is normally $79.95 and should end up being $29.00 out of pocket. So no matter what each game was actually worth (as long as above $5), they give you $25.48 trade in value for each game.

Edit: Cleared up my confusion. You are right. An additional $3.82 (15% of $25.48) per game, was taken off the price.

Apparently for the first week of release.
If you're near a CEX, you can pick up a range of games that will hit the required trade in for much cheaper than what you'll find at JB or elsewhere. I picked up Thief and Evil Within for 6 bucks each, so 42 for the game in total.

No, first time I've seen such a deal tbh.
The best thing about the deal was the lack of that $5 minimum requirement, which led to stores receiving stacks of FIFA 14 that are now gathering dust.
Guess they learnt their lesson for this time

They did this deal for Dragonball Fighter Z too, but I always thought the games are suppose to be from current gen

Just got it for $12 for trading 3 ps4 games in. 2 of which were games I now have on PlayStation Plus.
I did the deal with 2 NBA 2K16 for 12 bucks from JB, then they just let me price match target for 69, so DKCTF was bought for a whopping $43.
Damn, i didn't even try to price match on top. Should have tried at least i guess.

Just traded in tearaway psv and assassins creed liberation psv and paid $29 for the donkey kong. Trade in value of the psv games are $8 each.
