For all my balding brothers
Regaine is 50% off at Chemist Warehouse currently which is generally rare. Reviews for this stuff are generally mixed. I had a noticeable change when I started using it about 2 years ago and haven't looked back since. If you ever stop using it, it is generally accepted that the effects wear off.

or look at it this way it makes you impotent but you get a big 70's bush in return .. so they'll never see it anyway through the jungle.
Doesn't this stuff cause some bad side effects, like impotency in men?
Just get the package deal with Viagra…
You are thinking of Finasteride, which even then has no real conclusive link to those side effects. This is Minoxidil, there are no real side effects other than maybe oily skin.
It's making the scalp really itchy (and the hair a bit sticky). Once or twice a week, I use Nizoral shampoo which seems to help with the itchiness
Oh! So that's the one said to have those side effects? I thought about using one of them ages ago when I started losing hair, and I read online that such side effects were reported, so that scared me off using them.
I don't have any side effects except for regrowth!!
@OnlinePred: Which one do you use? I think my situation is beyond help, but might still try it. After all, I have nothing to lose. ☺
@AussieDaddy: I have been using for 1.5 months, I use the foam. This is aimed to just the crown so it's 4 month's supply for crown only. My crown has improved significantly to the point I have gained confidence again. I am going to try the top of my head to see how that goes too but will obviously use it quicker than 4 months. Definitely worth a try.
They used to say that the pill didn't cause side-effect for women, and that's been totally debunked, though they don't understand all the mechanisms involved.
Suffice to say that finasteride side-effects are real, but like other hormone-related therapies, the mechanisms are not well understood.
theres a new product called Acceptance better off buying that
Or you could just get your hair back….either way.
Does anyone know how this product compare to Dimoxinil?
compare to Dimoxinil?
This one contains Minoxidil
Just search for it. Should have realised The Simpsons made a similar sounding name for their hair loss product.
So is this like knockoff Rogaine?
Exactly the same. Branding name different in diff countries
Rogaine and Regaine is the same company.
The Kirklands brand off eBay is significantly cheaper. A years supply is about $70 from memory
How does it compare in effectiveness? Any idea? Is the minoxidil content the same?
Goodluck guys, Ive given up, just shaving it all off nowadays
That's not giving up. That's finally finding the right solution. Welcome to the club! :)
do you have a perfectly round head? if so, lucky you, not everyone does
I've started shaving it off too when I can't see any other way.
Shaving is a solution and looks more like a 'styling' option.
Solutions:
1. Regrow hair using this product.
2. Don't do anything
3. Shave your head and maintain shaving it regularly.
Sunglasses on the head and goatee next. Unique look solved.
When you get the Harley it starts getting expensive
But essential.
I was about to, until I gave this a go when it was $70 before. Almost 2 months later my crown bald spot has regrown hair completely!
You can get other brands like Kirkland or the one with the Yellow bottle, as they all contain the same ingredients = minoxidil 5% (I'm using the yellow bottles and they are normally around $30 for a 2 month-supply)
You guys know to put this stuff on with gloves right?
Its awfully hard to eat nachos with hairy palms…You're doing it wrong then, this product is for your HEAD.
lol
Or just wash hands….
This is much cheaper yet better result:D
Lol. Although no.
Will this work on my back and shoulders
might get some for my bald patch caused by radiation treatment for lymphoma, yeah nah nah
just what i sadly need.
Damn! Regaine was running a $50 cashback for this same 4 month pack from January 28th to the 18th of this month: https://www.regaine.com.au/cashback
And it seems that this Chemist Warehouse deal is back to $74.99 now (unless there's a code for the $69.39, or the price changes in the cart).
Oh damn! I thought the title said 'drops to $69.39'. I've just noticed my mistake after rechecking this post.
Doesn't this stuff cause some bad side effects, like impotency in men? I would rather be bald af than mess with anything that remotely causes any sexual side effects. Hell to the no to the no no no!
