Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva Scotch Whisky 700ml - $199 (Was $261.99) @ Dan Murphy's (Members)

120

At $63 off their usual price and currently sold out on JR Duty-Free for 700ml, definitely worth a mention.
Don't think I've seen it any cheaper besides once before on here last year.
Price hipster has it for $299 at DJ's (but who buys their whiskey from DJ's anyway).

Long time lurker first-time deal poster, let me know if I missed something.

Cheers!

Oh and please remember to use Cashrewards for a little happy cashback!

Dan Members only - but it's free to sign up anyway.

EDIT: $6.96 back according to cashrewards, making this $192.04.

Boozebud has it for $199 minus $30 for new customers. Bottle design differs, but description sounds the same.

  • Duty free @ Changi Singapore has this for ~225AUD. So at 200AUD this is a good price (for local stock!)

    • Probably Changi has a 1 Liter version.

      • It says 700ml on the website. Upon closer inspection it's 750ml (per GF's website and picture). Does not come in a 1L version as far as I can tell.

  • I picked this up last week like a good bargain hunter and I have to say that while it was a great drink, it isn't four times as good as the 12 year. Good as a bargain or a treat but not something I'd buy again even if it came down further.

    • Would have to disagree on you on that one there, can't even compare the two it's light years better than the 12.
But that's the great thing about whisky, everyone has different tastes :)

This one is on sale at $199 quite often as a members special at Dan Murphy's - and its is well worth it.

      • Better granted, but four times better? Agree to disagree.

        • I was wondering about the concept of x times the value of the drink, but I don't seem to understand if the value of a particular item can be truly measured that way. It's a highly subjective scale and for me, getting this at approximately $8 a standard drink would represent a great value for money. Do you have any recommendations that you would scale that way?

        • @Chromeo86:
would you say $2 a std drink for the 12yo worse value?

          @Jamesx:
Nay, i’d say you’re not comparing a similar item. If it were $2 a std drink for a different whiskey of comparable characteristics (Single Malt aged 21 from a reputable distillery) then your question would be valid.

        • I personally find the 12 yo a very mediocre whisky, and if I was buying that price range/age statement i'd go a glen grant or a glenmorangie instead any day.

    Thanks OP, great with coke.

Regular, Vanilla, Diet, Zero, or No Sugar? :P

    • It's better to enjoy with LA Ice Cola, bogan's choice for premix.
