even though it's the cheapest atm, this is not a good deal as they're usually $85-90 when there's a proper sale on them.

Seagate. Not at any price. Never again. I just had one come back. Quick turnaround but I had to spend almost $15 in shipping it to them to claim my warranty. Failure rate on these things is bloody unacceptable.

    I tend to buy Western Digital at the moment. A couple of their newer models are also supposed to have reliability issues. The go to seemed to be HGST, but they are hard to get in Aus and since being bought out by Western Digtial I assume they'll eventually consolidate. I tend to also use Samsung and Toshiba drives if WD isn't available or is pricey at the time. My latest desktop has Toshiba drives.
