Samsung Galaxy S8

Hi all,

I am thinking of getting Samsung S8 but not too sure when to strike to get the best deal.
I saw that back in Jan, there was a deal for S8 for $700, but seems like it has not gone down to that price again afterwards.
Ideally, I want to get it before end of financial year.

Based on history/experience, is it better for me to wait as there will likely be sales for S8 between now until 30 June?
Will the price go down to $700 again by 30 June?

I notice that in the most recent / current ebay 20% off, Bing Lee sells S8+ for $800 after the discount, which I thought not bad for local stock.
But ideally, I prefer S8 if it means likely I can get it cheaper than $800 by 30 June.

What do you guys think?

*Prefer local stock for warranty peace of mind

  • It seems like there is still a lot of demand for the S8 judging by forum posts and deals. I too am waiting for a good deal, but prices seem to be increasing for the S8 compared to 6 months ago.

        all good.

if you do find one at a good price can you post it here, have held back purchasing one today from kogan on the off chance that someone here found a better deal.

  • Available on Optus 24m plans atm - $49 pm, 20gb incl. - $44.60 on student discount.

Way I figured it most plans are around the $40 mark these days for what I need and this was ~$10 ontop of that = $240 - even cheaper if youre a student or depending on what plan you've got now.
