This is an amazing game. If you grew up playing N64 Rare games you'll be right at home.
For the money it’s possibly worth a go, but personally I found it a pretty poor homage to the games of old. Once you get past the first world it all becomes rather dull and uninspired. It’s like the designers got bored. Doesn’t help that all the worlds feel too large and out of scale compared to the content in them. When you have something like Mario Odyssee shipping last year it’s apparent just how far off the mark this title was. I get that it’s a tribute to the old 90s titles, unfortunately it’s not a particularly good one.
For $16 maybe give it a go, however I’d suggest grabbing the two original Banjo titles on backwards compatibility and playing those instead.
For those who buy from other regions, price is ~$8.06 AUD from Turkey xbox store. Or ~$10.63 AUD from Brazil (my preferred store)
When you wanna try this game out finally, but you also wanna play it on Switch more. Decisions decisions.
