Im just shocked that its 100% legit free on Android (including Seasons, and the new levels) but is worth so much on Apple.

so now mac nerds have to buy things up to 4 times over do they? thank god I dont own more than one apple product. buying one app on an iphone, ipod, ipad and mac would cost me a fortune.
If I'm at home on my mac/pc I'm pretty sure I could find better things to do with my time than play Angry Birds, let alone paying $12/$6 for it.

On a computer, it's just like any other mouse driven flash game available for free on the web, except this costs $6.

You are comparing apples with oranges here. Yes there are both Angry Bird game, but the platform is different! It would be a negative IF there is a 'free' version on Mac before. But having it FREE on Android doesn't make it any better for Mac users does it? So having 50% off, IMO it's a rip-off, it is still a bargain to some.
It's like saying why pay for (or read as it's not a bargain to buy) Birth-Control pills when you can get condoms for free at family planning centres or uni/high school?
Angry Birds is the most overrated iPhone game. It's so boring.
Kind of agree with you. But the kids loves it, so no complaints there.
When wife asks me to take care of the kids, I just toss them each a ipod and iphone with angry bird and off they go. =)

Don't forget that there are regularly 25% off itunes cards sales, so another 25% off $5.99 makes it cheaper than $4.99 on the PC.
what i dont get is, mac users have a lot more apps to choose from so the mac version "should" be less as the rules about competition driving prices down should apply, but apparently not for mac users!
It hasn't even been open for a day yet, the prices aren't set in stone.
And I don't know what people are complaining for, go to Harvey Norman and buy a game it'll cost you at least $20 for something as good as Angry Birds.
Or play one of the millions of free flash games online that are the same as Angry Birds, for free…
