Dude - I bought one and it looks identical. You stick one piece on the back of your phone which acts as a magnet to the holder as pictured. Same 4 leg prongs that clamps onto the air vents.
It's not my point - is a kogan stick vacuum the same as a Dyson ? Same tube thing which sucks stuff up from the ground…
Point is these normally sell from this eBay store for $24.99 and they have sold a tonne of them at that price (check the sales history of the item) - this post is a lot cheaper than that and IMO can hardly be compared to your recent Chinese Daiso visit
@urbancartel: i agree to pork chops. Ive been using a similar item and paid less than a quarter and been using it for couple years withput a problem. It’s quite ironic how you compared a magnet holder and a vacuum cleaner LOL.
I compared a Kogan stick vacuum and a Dyson FYI, I don't see the Irony myself - also i'm comparing my view on the historical price of this brand and item which has a proven sales history at a much higher price of $24.99
I'm not saying that you can't get a cheaper priced item that serves a similar purpose, just that this price is for local stock is much cheaper than it normally is
I agree. I ordered an IDENTICAL (the rubber moulding and everything i can see is IDENTICAL - exept branding) device from one of the popular Chinese online shops and it cost <5$ + free shipping.
And i dont recommended it to anyone.
It's "sagging" on the vent leaving the phone on an awkward downward angle.

No probs, also they are not all the same, some have bigger and stronger magnets that hold you phone more secure.

Yep, MiniSo is in Melbourne too. Highpoint, Docklands etc, cheap store but quality products. Spigen have good phone covers but everything else is overpriced and there are much cheaper alternatives as you mentioned.
Pros about these holders, it stops your phone from heating up, cons…well the magnet doesn't hold up over time so you're better off buying a cheaper one than spending 2x more as they'll both do the same job

Yes, I own a Spigen one and Belkin. Worked well for about 2 months until the magnet wasn't strong enough and kept coming off

i have a ebay version and this spigen version (both look exactly the same except the brand)
spigen has stronger magnets and the grip on the vent is alot stronger, does not slide off.

Question: does the metal plates interfere with wireless charging?
yes if the metal plate covers the area, which it usually does. I use the metal plate provided between my case and back cover.
As someone who has had 3 "generic" ones. I would probs go for the spigen at this price. The generic ones aren't the best over time as the vent mount becomes lose and your phone falls. By "over time" I mean at least 2-3 weeks.

I have the generic brand, I can tell you for a surety it's a waste of money. Better chance with the spigen + warranty

Sorry. No deal. I was in China earlier in the year and I purchased this exact item at MiniSo store which is similar to Daiso in Melbourne for $10 RMB = AUD$2. Only difference is that this is the Spigen branding.
