amaysim $10 SIM Starter Pack (1GB) Half Price: $5 @ Coles

150

The first deal that I've posted. I hope that I've followed all of the rules but am a bit surprised that this hasn't been posted already as it expires tomorrow (Tuesday 24 April). I couldn't find a similar post.

It is NOT on offer in some stores but I can't list them all so please check your local Coles catalogue.

Unavailable online.
For use in AU within 28 days. PLANS AUTOMATICALLY RENEW every 28 days. (Watch out for that in case it's not for you). I'm not an expert in this so am not quite sure how that works.

Limit 1 per customer.

EDIT (02/5/2018). I've have changed this as expired as it's the end of the Coles week. This is unverified and it may still be active.

  • Well a gig is pretty small.

    • I assume Coles ones can be activated anytime. SIM cards posted by amaysim are usually activated on posting and you don’t get the full 28 days.

Bought the ebay deal but wasn’t aware of this.. what happens if you want to port number?
Doesn’t really make sense for the cards to come pre activated as you haven’t provided any ID details etc.

        • Maybe ebay Is different to buying direct but sims bought direct are usually already activated.

        • @wxyz234: Incorrect in this case. Bought from Amaysim on Ebay during the last deal and they were not activated on arrival. They don't collect activation information from Ebay checkout.

  • It's a great deal, I have two data sims linked to my optus data pool, if your kids have a dual sim phone it's a really cheap way to do it.

If data you're after you can get 23GB for $4.90 here

PLANS AUTOMATICALLY RENEW every 28 days.

Go into account settings and turn off auto-renew. You can also make sure that adding credit is by voucher so when 28 days are up, they have no way to charge you so your service stops. Perhaps do both.

    • Thanks. I didn't know of this option. I've been on a plan with them for years paying each month even when I didn't use it and had no idea that I could just switch off payments like that. (Please, no comments on my ignorance).

  • Covered in the weekly COles specials for last week; Iam wondering whether there is a way to use this as top-up credit on an existing number

Went to grab one today expecting full price, pleasantly surprised by it still being half price. https://s18.postimg.cc/epvye17hz/IMG_20180425_132449.jpg?dl=…

    Deal is still on.

    • Yes. I checked in Coles yesterday and they're still $5.

  • Can confirm this is still going, got one today for $5 :)
