I am looking at purchasing in next month or two, located in Queensland.
Would appreciate input from others who have purchased same car recently or same time last year.
I am not the best negotiator and need a price to aspire to.

Is the op Mr Samyl, Mr Samy L
Or Mrs Amyl or Mrs Amy L
I'm confused
'Tight Bottom?' 'Mrs Amyl?' This took a weird turn.
The Mazda 6 is not a chick's car. It's so nice and definitely a man's.
That's because it's so long that only people who manage long things themselves can drive it.
I find carsales from dealers all over Australia is a good place to look. Then try to pricematch the lowest with your local dealer (my local Kia dealer wouldn't even come close to matching a rural dealership, so ended up with the rural dealer who drove the car to my house - free of charge)
Looks like the hatch can be bought for 24k driveaway.
$1
Redbook shows about $24.5k new, before on-roads. We're nearing end of the month, so you should definitely aim for that figure or even get them to go lower or chuck in extras. If you're willing to chance a demo, then you can haggle more aggressively (at least another $1k off).
Don't buy a demo. Ever.
why?
Reasons why not to buy a demo. Basically, it's rarely just a 'demo'. Most have had a hard life. Unless you really know where it's been and get a significant discount then stay away. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQctuPp3kjU
Not really. Yes, you're rolling the dice, but not every demo has been thrashed. If you narrow it down to low kms, get an extended test drive (with independent assessment), and guarantee of full manufacturer warranty, you can save a big chunk of change.
Most people can't tell if the engine is blowing up or overheating right before their eyes.
Demoing a car only serves one purpose - creates an in for the salesman to strike up a sales pitch.
We have unplated demo's here. Just registered, not driven.
But nice blanket statement there
Just as an indication. I got sp25 for about 26k with metallic paint and Prem plate in Vic. Max sport is 2 trim below. I would aim 24k and go up from there.
OP.
I'm looking for a similar thing but a 2015-2018 model if used.
Personally I'd try get it for $22k.
I did a test drive in a Mazda 3 Maxx Sport just this week and the guy said it was 25k. Of course I would always ask for lower or walk away. I am also in Brisbane area.
Hi All,
Anyone end up buying one and able to share what price they ended up getting?
Also in the market for a brand new 3 Maxx.
one month ago, I heard someone bought a brand new 3 Maxx sports sedan, for 23500
This is such a chick's car. Go for a real man's car.
oh wait..
Probably around $28-$30k for the auto version
