Cheap Laptop/Netbook! Don't care about the specs!

Hey guys,

I want to get my mum a laptop/netbook for her birthday. She will only use it about once a week to check her emails, as well as some general web surfing and the occasional word document.

The laptop/netbook can have whatever specs, but i would prefer if it was made by a brand that is well known. It doesn't have to come with any special programs already installed, as i can arrange things like word, antivirus, etc.

I also don't mind buying online, although i would prefer to find something that i can pick up in store.

Sorry, i meant netbook as well, i think i have seen some under $200.

    yeah hard to find a netbook/anything close to the $160 mark with great specs for value
    emachines are probably best value for money
