Depends what you want to use it for.
I have a Mi Box and use it for Netflix and Kodi. Works great. You won't find anything better for the price.
Seconded - I also have one, and it performs admirably.
@LYRICALRAVER For a bit more money, and available locally, the Vodafone TV android box might also be worth a look. Check out the whirlpool forums first though, to see what others think - its pretty new. https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2714884
The Nvidia shield is also interesting - but may be overkill if you just want a netflix/kodi box.
only 8gb storage space? can you add more storage to it?
The MiBox - yes, you can - it has an SD card slot, and you can plug in a USB HDD.
I just stream everything from my NAS though, and/or netflix/youtube/etc.
Mecool is getting a lot of positive reviews and it has the official Android TV firmware as opposed to the more common smartphone/tablet android firmware.

Thanks for the suggestion, however I've never heard of this online store - 'TOMTOP' - are they reliable? I mean I looked at their address and it's showing that it comes from China. is it reputable? wouldn't want to waste almost $100 for unreliability…
I bought a mecool ages ago from bangood so you don't need to buy from the tomtop store, most of places that people post deals about sell them.
The remote is great, the unit works fine and the one I bought from banggood had an Australian plug power supply which is a bonus.
Well that depends on what you want it for. The Fetch TV box is pretty good if you just want to stream content from Netflix/Youtube etc. You get a pretty good deal if an Optus customer.
If you want to stream from your phone then Chromecast works else an Apple TV is the best, but pricey, option for standalone everything.
