Travel Agents That Will Match / Beat Skyscanner

Hi Guys , thinking of travelling a bit but obviously travel agents get expensive where place like Skyscanner are handy. I’m not there if there are repeated ones who get you good prices for non China airlines . The problem with place like Skyscanner is it’s just leads and going to websites I’ve never heard about so hoping if one of the smart bargain wizards here can suggest or know if there are travel places that will beat flight centre please ?

Skyscanner will list multiple travel agents. Usually there's a "known" one listed for not much more then the cheapest. The other option is to go in to somewhere like Flight Centre and get them to price beat the online price. Terms and conditions here.

STA and Flight Centre both do price matching. Studentflights do as well but they are just one of many, many companies within the Flight Centre Group (byojet, auntbetty etc). They only price match IATA accredited companies that have an ABN.

Keep in mind that Flight Centre and STA often have heftier change and cancellation fees than on-line travel agents.

If the booking isn't for months, you have money to spare and there doesn't appear to be a pricing error then you can take a risk on any Australian on-line travel agency directly if the change fees are lower. You'll have plenty of time to confirm with the airline directly (either by ringing them or logging in, where available).

If the savings are less than 5%, your travel arrangements are set in stone and you're travelling in "a few weeks" then you should probably go directly with the airline as a form of insurance.

    • Thank you. I feel more confident with Flight Centre and Student Travel as they have physical offices here so might get them to price match. Travelling in November and have spent like the whole day working out with my mate when we want to go for his Bachelor's to AMS so guess we won't be changing the dates - well not after we know there are heavy change prices.

      • Always have a search on the airlines site and Google if there's any promo codes available. Booking directly is always the best choice but most of the time it's more expensive. If it's only a few bucks more though definitely book it directly.

        • And look out for price promise offered by the airlines.
