I'm looking to buy some DLC from Xbox Live and I'm wondering if anyone has ever come across deals for buying credit in the Xbox Live Store? They used to be known as 'points' but Microsoft changed to straight dollars a couple of years ago. Are the gift cards ever on sale anywhere? I've checked some of the usual places online but can't find anything worthwhile.
Note this is not Xbox Live Gold credit that I'm looking for, just credit to use in the store for buying DLC.

The trouble with that is I don't generate enough to depend on it for a substantial discount. I think I've got like 50 reward points, which equates to very little actual $$. I'm looking for a cheaper way I can hand over real dollars.

I know a lot of people don't like dealing with them, but as long as you stick to sellers with a ton of positive feedback then I think you'll be fine. I wouldn't use the G2A Shield, as it's nearly $5 extra on top of the purchase. I've never had an issue buying without it though. Different payment methods will attract different fees, so keep that in mind. Final price should be < $80 for $100 worth of credit.
I've never tried jumping between regions before so I'm curious the best methods for doing that. Since you can now pay with PayPal that should make it even simpler to purchase in another region. Do you just need to employ a VPN? Also, is content downloaded elsewhere still available in your account here in OZ or do you need to stay signed into the other region?
I jump regions whenever I buy. Usually from the US as that's the easiest place to buy. You can't use PayPal to make the transaction so I buy m$ cards (digital ones) off the amazon us store. The use a VPN on my xbox to change location, restart and purchase. Once purchased I change the location back to Aus and everything works fine. Try and buy the M$ digital gift cards when amazon is on sale or when the exchange rate is good.
