purchased this one in fact. Slowest data transfer i have ever had. around 7-8mb per second for some reason. tried exact same files with a different USB, 25mb-40mb.
anyone else have this drive?
any issues?
My item from last deal, 8bitdo controller hasn't arrived, more than 30 days and specifically asked for refund but kept giving me excuses and wait until May, lol. Gonna avoid these guys.
To be fair it did mention when ordering a processing time of 3-7 business days and shipping time of 10-25 business days, so like most of the cheap stuff we buy from China it does take a while to get here.
shipping time of 10-25 business days
I don't know how but Amazon AU sellers are dropshipping stuff from China in 9 or 10 days.
I think you just get dicked every now and then from all of them. I see people proclaiming that they wont deal with this or that company any more due to getting dicked. I myself have two or three orders right now that I'm almost certain wont arrive from light box and aliexpress. That said, I've had plenty of successful purchases from all of them.
I think sometimes they get hamstrung by third party suppliers, or dodgy shipping companies, or someone in the dispute department makes a shitty decision resulting on you getting dicked. I try to always use PayPal so I have an extra stab at getting my money back, but that's not guaranteed either.
I'm not going to stop bargain hunting, but I am interested in hearing other peoples war stories dealing with these companies.
it’s the cheap postage from china, sometimes it comes as consolidated so takes time until the container of full.
the option of REAL express shipping kills most deals unless it’s a mobile phone and you want it quick.
so i take the free postage and wait ,
other options are ebay local sellers …..
And if Turnbull gets his way, there will be a $7 import tax for every Chinese parcel! Goodbye Zapals deals…
In two months time, all of this Zapals, rosegal, geekbuying.. will be gone…
For some reason the braindead keep voting for Lib/Lab as though they like being clowned.
@cloudie9: if they bring in a parcel tax, it will be up to sellers to make deals sweeter with higher qty instead of just 1 item to make it worth it eg order 5 usb cables not just one in the deal,
There won’t be a parcel tax, however, there’s something wrong with reciprocal postal agreement where shipping from China is cheaper that from Australia. Individual delivery to home is a lot more expensive than bulk send from a fulfilment warehouse.
Australia is net importer of consumer products, so, reciprocity, which is usually a reasonable idea, all things being equal, stops working.
When there’s trade imbalance, you solve it by protectionism, however, government policies are determined by those who gain by free trade rather than those who lose by it. The trick is to convince enough voters that they win - ignore your neighbors’ job plight, when you can get a cheaper USB stick drop-shipped from China.
@AlexF:
Someone had an aversion to sound logic…
Whenever I read SONOFF I can't help but imagine someone with a bad headcold trying to say "SONOS".
Or son of a b.
For the SONOFF switch, code RGCG04 seems to require more than $50 in an order
The 3 port USB wall plug only has an EU plug as the option
Looks like only one port is QC3? No details on total wattage.
For the SONOFF switch, which version works here in Australia? The US is closer to our size but the EU have a similar voltage so I'm a bit confused.
Got the headphones. Needed a pair. They're super budget, ill let you peeps know how they are if i can be fked…
Ok
The 32GB flash drive is $14 at MSY or $13.30 with Officeworks price beat. Perhaps an alternative if you don't want to wait for the shipping and prefer local stock.
