Are there any suggestions for a decent microphone to use on discord/in-game chat? I'm planning on getting an audio technica m30x + a relatively decent and cheap microphone.
I've seen the modmic but it seems a little expensive for what I require. I don't mind desktop mics but I also have a mechanical keyboard with cherry reds which may pickup my keystrokes.
I don't really need something of that quality. Would you happen to know anything up to $50? The headphones I'm buying are only $90 so the rode microphone would be double

Do you know if the audio quality suffers much as a result of the inbuilt mic?
@MadMarty: shrugs - I mean how good does the audio quality need to be to yell at a bunch of 12 year olds when you are gaming. I figure its design is so that people can hear you so it cant be that bad.
@iTzTeFish: How do they feel on your head? I have somewhat large ears so I prefer my ears to go inside the cusion since it's usually uncomfortable otherwise

You can probably find better prices than these. Also there is a variant of the Neweer mic boom that has an integrated cable that is nicer to have, but you have to carefully check to see (it will have cable at the mic end and the clamp)
Do you know anything smaller that takes up less space? I don't have much space to place everything.
I had a look at the modmic but its a bit expensive for what I need. I also was looking at hyperx cloud but more people recommended to get headphones + a mic instead

Clips along the cable on your existing headset. Super cheap, and pretty damn good for what you're paying. I have one myself, but haven't used it in a while

If you wanna take it one step further in the budget route, you buy a mic and headphone splitter cable from ebay, and plug it into your phone's headset (or any headphones) with a mic
