Morphy Richards 48780 Food Steamer $99 down from $330 Good Guys Helensvale (QLD)

30

Can't find this on their website, and dont know if its nationwide or other stores, but The Good Guys Helensvale are selling off the Morphy Richards 48780 Steamer for $99. This brings it down to the sort of price you would pay for this steamer in Europe, and far below the $330 RRP (absurdly high!). Most places seem to still be trying to sell it for $280+

They had about 20 on the floor.

For reference this is the steamer in question:

but the deal is, as I said, at The Good Guys.

  • It would be good if anyone can confirm whether this is a nation wide sale or just the one store :)

    • Phone your local :)

  • Nice looking unit and great price for those who can get it.

  • Scored quite well in the CHOICE tests, too. Will ring around tmr.

    • My mate in the UK got one about a year back for 65 pounds, but back then I was amazed to see it cost almost 3 times as much here in Australia. There is a new model out now in Europe, 48781, though I don't know what they have changed.

  • Tempted to get one of these, esp. for the price, my mate says steamers aren't all that great because they take ages to cook, anyone got any opinions about steamers in general for cooking?

    • Depends what you cook, some things are really quick. Main thing is generally they are easy to use, chuck it all in and press go… No pans boiling over etc.

Don't know if it's nutritionally better or worse than other cooking methods.
