Been looking for 16GB to 32GB sd cards for my phone just to store some movies and shows on. Looked at jb hi fi, big w, harvey norman, office works and seemed to think this was the best value I could find; https://www.harveynorman.com.au/samsung-evo-32gb-sdhc-memory… (I would like local stock as I want to start using it ASAP). Never used an SD card before so should this be compatible with my phone?
No, your phone takes microSD cards not SD cards.
Any microSD card will work fine.
