Spam on Domino's Website? What's Your Opinion

Hi guys,
So basically I was browsing on Domino's website and thinking about ordering a pizza. However, a page showed up on their FRONT-PAGE (the official website) saying that there is a chance to win $500 gift card.
I was quite interested and answered a few questions. It then directed me to another website:http://milolead.com/page?country=au&pub=2&cam=168&r=7-bb60o0tkc1s4b33aulvg&a=3915. Which seems like a scam website with Domino's logo.
It also collected my name, address, phone number,I faked the first two but decided to remain the phone number a true one. As soon as I click the "next" button, I received a message from a number called "account", claiming I have uncollected Bitcoins with a suspicious website. Then I can be sure it was a SPAM.

Question:
Is it intended by Domino's or its their website being hacked?

It's a scam, you've clicked on a Google ad, not the dominos website.

    See how the URL is
    http://amazingmelanisticzebra.com/dominos-in-australia/?utm_…

    The real dominos is https://www.dominos.com.au/

Pretty good job by them though!

    • Just a little bit illegal but as they appear to be based in Panama, I guess they're not too concerned ;)

  • True. I noticed that the Google ad actually created a image that I clicked on the right website. Anything we can do with that?

    • I messaged the Dominos FB page as an FYI, is that what you mean?

I guess you could report to Google somehow, but I didn't bother, dunno how.

Smart move. I was thinking about reporting to Google as well. Found a term called "Adsense"

        • Dominos FB just replied to say they will look into it

        • @John Kimble:

          like a mirror

        • Cheers. That was quick :)

        • @Nugs: more like a microscope

    • Use uBlock origin

so not a new topping then?

    mmmmm Spam pizza

    .

    • found the Hawaiian…

  • Adblock?

  • Looks like it has been taken down.

    • Seems so. The first result of Google search is red rooster, then comes with the REAL Domino

      • Weird, mine is the real dominos, first hit.

        • Maybe cuz I searched for Nando's recently? XD

Please note you should probably still be careful even if it is a google add, Dominos does this when you complete your order as well (put in your info to win X).

Also not sure how many people know but I'm pretty sure they got hacked last year (2017) and I heard almost nothing about it. I used to receive emails that said "Hi <name> are you still at <location>" and couldn't figure out where it came from, but apparently it was from Dominos (name and dominos location).

    • Exactly. One of the reasons that I didn't realise it was a spam is Domino THEMSELVES DO THE SAME THING.(collect you data and information, with a tiny little checkbox containing "do you wish to sign up for xxx" at checkout). I don't know if I should keep online ordering for Domino or not :( Just feeling like they are not trust worthy.
