Any good reasons to get this over your typical $1 jobs on ebay?

I haven't had any of these fail over the last 12 months or so, they all still click in and 'bite' into place. Gone through dozens of cheap $1-2 cables with the kids over the years. The cords get banged about and twisted a bit but the heavy duty braiding keeps them from really tight crimping or bending that would usually break the cheaper cables.

  • Do these work for the Huawei Y7? Thnsk

  • How is this compared to AmpCore Turbo?

  • Does this cable charge gadgets faster than the normal cables provided by manufacturers.

    • Maybe. Some cables won't pass much current. If you're trying to use a high power charger to charge a device which accepts high current, with a crappy cable, then it might not be as quick as using a good cable. But it probably won't make much difference most of the time.

      • Then what is good about this cable if it doesn't charge faster?

        • Sometimes it will charge faster. It should last longer.

You make up your mind if that's worth $3.86 to you.

        • Lasts longer, feels nicer.

@macrocephalic: how do you mean by it should last longer? how exactly are you using this cable?

@tempura: I'm not using this cable, I'm explaining the difference between cheap and expensive cables. You know how cables sometimes break, or the head stops staying in the device as well as it did when new, or the outer layer start coming off? A well made cable should last longer before those things happen (as compared to a cheap $1 one).
