Yes they are pricey but good for ANC.
However, you should also take a look at Sony 1000XM2 which some say have even better ANC than these and have better sound quality too. Recently JB hifi were selling them for crazy price of $255, unfortunately sold out real quick.

I always just passed these deals right by because of the absurd sounding price for a pair of headphones I have to keep charging up. But I had a little read the other day, and these things are at the top of the charts for ANC headphones. I'm mostly interested. I can see why they are an OzB favourite.
