Warning: Check Your Citibank Credit Card Bills in Detail!

Had a lengthy discussion with a customer rep on the phone.

Basically discovered that the individual items on my monthly credit card bill did not add up and I was overquoted by $2k.

I checked last month's bill and discovered the total was $500 over what was quoted. Not sure if this is an error on their systems but worth checking your bills in detail and don't just assume the total adds up.

Can't believe this is happening in 2018

I wonder how good their English was
Always had an issue with Citibank reps being hard to understand

  • you mean the "Total" doesn't tally with the breakdown charges ?

that's dodgy ass , i only check the statement breakdown, didn't get my calculator out to total up everything.

  • Can't believe this is happening in 2018

You still haven't worked out that banks will attempt to steal money from you as SOP and instead believe the Google inspired "rogue engineer" exists or they just cannot get computers to do basic arithmetic yet so "mistakes" will happen?

Uh oh. I hear that if you actually add up all the items on your statement, you see that girl from The Ring.

Doesn't surprise me - have had multiple PITA experiences in dealing with Citibank Credit cards. Their online communication system craps itself if you put so much as a comma or question mark in it! Honestly, couldn't make it up if I tried. They're very unimpressive from a customer service aspect.

  • I have a Citibank Signature cc and they said I couldn’t reduce my limit which is apparently $15000. I just spend about $200 a month with it, given the paucity of their rewards scheme.
