Allkeyshop

After hearing about this game for a year, finally decided to buy.

3% off $16.68 = USD 16.18 = approx. AUD 20.63

Possible further 2.8% cashback through Cashrewards?)

- seems like steam is excluded but worth a try?

What is Steam Cloud Activation?
I have read a few posts on reddit and it seems that cloud activation = VPN + Chinese key. (You will need to login using your steam details and gamesdeal will do the VPN and key activation for you using a key from the Chinese Steam Store)
- Some people are saying that Steam could ban you for doing it? (no actual proof found though)
- Risk for exposing your account details to gamesdeal.com
https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/7m7iwh/what_is_st…
https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/7l13q9/psa_gamesd…

I would suggest the following approaches depending on how much risk you are willing to take.
1. Activate game and change your password after
2. Create a new steam account just for Cloud Activation as the same game is always cheaper via Cloud Activation on gamesdeal
3. Buy the AUD $30 version on other sites for a peace of mind

Should have gone free IMO.. Since they're losing players to Fortnite (Free)

    • -4

But what would the PUBG snobs do with their time then?

    • -1

Actually, I think making it more expensive and combating the super cheap keys available via dodgy methods would make the game better

    • So those faceless people who downvote - care to comment on why it shouldnt be free when its direct competitor is, along with the mobile version of PUBG being free?

      • -1

I think the fact that PUBG is still maintaining a 2.5M concurrent player base against a FREE game speaks volumes.

        • -1

Are you kidding? Fortnite had been out for less time and there is double the active users. It's the better game, had far less bugs, Devs actually care about, and it's free

        • Does that 2.5M concurrent only count the paid desktop version or we including the FREE mobile crossplay?

        • @OnlinePred: Fornite is on consoles though and recent sources put it at 3 million peak concurrent. PUBG still peaks 2.7 million on PC alone.
It's definitely less buggy, but let's not be misleading here.

        • @enceladus94: Yea it's true, although at the current rate users leaving pubg, it's something else to consider. Although during the comp a few weeks ago, there were double the players, and more than double the active watchers/streamers on twitch.

        • @OnlinePred: There's definitely been a dip but it may be slowing, the decline in players month to month went from 12%, to 6% to 2% according to steam charts which means it's about to level out at like 2.3 million, which is still almost double Dota 2's all time peak.
Problem is although Fornite is a much more polished and better supported game, it's arcadey and has the building mechanics. If you don't like that then PUBG is your only other destination. I personally also very much dislike third person, and haven't played it since first person released OCE.
Once another semi-realistic and grounded battle royale game comes along that's better than PUBG, it's gonna drop off.

        • @enceladus94: Yea I agree. After funding PUBG and playing it for many hundreds of hours, fortnite seemed cartoony and a poor alternative. Although here I am with many hundreds of hours logged on fortnite and having a blast. I love FPS in real environments, but pubg is a terrible game to start off with, so it's hard to recommend.

What are y'all 14 arguing over which video game is better. Here's a pro tip, play whichever the #@!% one you want to play. Smiles.

  • This game have lose many players because of illegal procedure

    • +2

Care to elaborate what is "illegal procedure"?

      • +1

For example automatic aiming and perspective (He can see you behind the wall or house )

        • +4

          Ah yes, illegal procedure.

….back in my days we call that Aimbot and Wallhacks.

    • I think it's called hacking? Not sure….

  • +1

Not sure if all this hassle is worth it when you can get it for $24 usd via GMG

  • +3

Beware this game does not run so well on old hardware (I am sure you have heard this million times over) and if you have to turn the settings down it really does not look so good :/

    • +1

if you have to turn the settings down it really does not look so good :/

But you can see everyone better.

      • +1

If you like looking at porridge instead of custard then you will love it

  • +1

I wouldn't pay this much for the game. It's still very buggy, Devs don't care about players, only comps and streamers. I get locked off servers after killing streamers. It could have been a great game. Fortnite is free, had more features and less bugs. I haven't been kicked once. I'm not saying it's the better game, I'm just saying pubg is a mess, and if you are planning on playing it more than a few hours, think twice, read reviews, it's a rip off

This game is garbage and still feels like its in beta or is it ? Too many chinese hackers and no oceanic servers. Save your money !

    • +4

I agree with you but it does have oceanic servers

    • Oceanic servers do indeed exist and I've found I get a constant ping of ~40 from them, though they sometimes have longer queues compared to North America. In my (relatively short) 18 hours of playtime, I've yet to experience any hackers either. However I do agree that it still feels incomplete and like a beta.

    • Oceanic servers have existed for so long…

  • This game will be better when they region lock China

  • Still a great game. Can't get into Fortnite. Don't like the cartoony graphics, and building mechanics. PUBG has come a long way, and they are pushing out more and more material at a faster rate.
