      • +1

Lol @ the negs, I actually found it funny

      • +1

        beat that neggers

      • Which Bunnings? Was it nationwide? It is also possible that “Bunnings” was not initially in the title.

        • +1

Yeah wasn't in the original, JV chimed in well after the title was revised.

        • @CH:
Yes. I replied 1 minute after the initial post, trying to help, and jv jumped in about an hour later.

Nice 1st post. Cheers for taking the time to take the snap

  • I'm hoping 4.8A total means 2.4A per port. That would support fast charge for the S8, right?

    Which bunnings OP?

    • +5

Simple 2.4A isn't fast charge. You need the right voltage etc to do it and to be certified.

      • -6

        and to be certified.

How do you know nurries isn't certified?

    • -5

If your cable supports fast charge, quick charge etc, it should work. I have a Belkin branded one and it works nice with my standard Note 8 usb.

      • +3

I doubt that this powerboard supports Qualcomm QuickCharge (what Samsung calls adaptive fast charge).

      • Quick Charge has nothing to do with the USB current. It is a charging technology that the device and charger need to support.

    • QuickCharge will need a certified powerboard, which unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any yet. QC also pumps out a higher voltage (up to 9 and 12V, so if the device doesn't list more than 5V on its output, it's definitely not QC.

Saw these at the Alexandria Store for $7.50 clearance. Picked up 3. 2.4A each USB Port.

    • Where's exactly? I'm at Alexandra store right now.

      • 2nd level. Infront of the isle for electrics and toilet accessories. there was a tresstle table with boxes underneath - they might not be showing and are still in brown boxes.

        • All gone… :(

        • It's gone, mate. Thanks anyway.

  • What the hell am I looking at

  • +8

Somewhere in heaven, God sheds a tear for that Ozbargain staple, the illustrious Xiaomi Power Strip…

  • +1

wow.. Surge protected with 2 USB too
    Nice post OP.. cheers !!

  • +1

excellent. means I won't have to keep rebuilding my house due to fires caused by xiaomi powerboards /s

    good find.

    • +1

If you build your house with Xiaomi powerboards then you will have lots of small fires you can easily put out instead of one big one.

      • +1

        solution.. bring back asbestos

    • Fires caused by click powerboards are much more enjoyable, IMO

  • Is this national wide??

  • I've found some on my local bunnings but still priced at 24.09..

    • Show them the photo perhaps? Maybe OP got one himself and has a receipt he can share.

      • +6

I've showed them the photo.. They wouldn't budge. Their excuse is different bunnings, different demand that's why they put it on clearance

        • +1

Yeah that's the response I got from my local Bunnings as well.

  • +2

    It's not a looker that's for sure.

  • +12

Not a standard item. Cannot find on the Bunnings website. Instructions not clear. Broke my penis. Dont ask.

    • +3

Another Ozbargainer confounded by the "extendable" component of this deal…

      • +3

We can't all be gifted mate ;)

        • I'll take every inch I can get!

Since you're back - can you confirm whether the broke penis quip was related to the extendable description. I don't want to be barking up the wrong tree here…

        • +1

@UncleRico: If you plan to use they powerboard, you may get a bit of a pinch

  • +2

So its a grower not a shower

  • None at Eltham, guy said someone asked about it a few minutes before I did. Who was it!

    • +3

      :x

  • these are great….bought 2 a couple months back for the same price….highly reccommended

  • Anyone know whether theres any at Kirrawee?

  • Don't see any at Artarmon, they only have Arlec and HPM power boards.

  • Looks great but someone tell me why most power boards don't automatically come with separate on off switches.

    This always bugs me.

    • Cheaper that way.

    • …because most appliances have on/off switches.

      • But that precious standby power savings.

Also nice to have everything centrally located.

    • I would guess because most powerboards go behind things so you will not be able to reach the switches.

      It also saves money.

    • They go on special for about $10 each every so often. I've found it's not too bad when you have to shell out for them if it's only one or two spots where you'd really use them.
I put one in the room with the battery chargers, and one in the garage for the tools like soldering iron and glue gun.

      • Yeah mainly just need one for chargers and non 24/7 stuff.

Personal pet peeve one would be a lamp that is far from my bed so the powerboard is closer to reach and pull out.

        • Sorry Alien can't hear you, I'm clapping!

        • @dufflover: lol I thought about one but if I had to clap while at home to sleep or turn off the lights it might wake me up instead lol

  • +1

None at Hoppers. Apparently they don’t stock this.

  • Went past bunnings in Thomastown they were sold out, so I went past bunnings Coburg and grabbed a couple, they told me they were $39 each, showed the photo and they put them thru for $10 each

    • More in Coburg?

    • Can you post a receipt please

      • Posted below. Good luck!

I'm glad the 10m extension cable is flexible.

Last time I needed a 10m extension cable they only had the non-flexible variety. I hit three people just getting it out of the aisle, broke a ceiling light, almost hit the checkout chick with it, had a hell of a time getting out the front door, and then discovered it wouldn't fit in the boot on my car.

    Shambles all round.

Went back and got 5 x 2m ones, at least I could get those home (even if I did have to tape them to the roof).

    • +1

You were a big hit that day! :)

  • Couldn't find in Burleigh Waters, QLD

Bought these at Ikea for $12.99 (2/pack). Thought I should share.

    • -1

That's comparing apples to a porcupine.

    • -1

      Yeah but username checks out!

  • Just picked up 4 of these at Browns Plains QLD. They were listed at $24.09 clearance. Told the staff it's $10 at another Bunnings and she just slapped on a $10 clearance sticker on them without needing proof. Here's my receipt:

    Bunnings receipt

    Good luck!

  • Bought two from Bunnings Mascot today, $10 each. It was initially scanned for $24.09 each before I showed them the receipt from OZB. They still have 2-3 pcs left on the rack.
