If that offer holds, then you should be able to get the Legend from Vodafone on the 12mth $49 plan for $396.90. This plan includes $500 calls and 1.5GB per month.
That is reasonable given a new phone alone will cost $350 upwards from eBay.
Only snag is that the Vodafone website does not show the 3mths free offer. Maybe if you call Vodafone they will honour the 3mths free deal.

Nobody's going to sell theirs for $270, cheapest you can get is $300 on ebay if you're lucky (ie. if they have very few feedback).

I'm checking any news on HTC 2011 models. Hopefully there will be a Legend 2 which latest and faster processor. The current one 600mhz is bit slow to watch rmvb movies.
If you're still looking at a Legend, I have a spare one I usually use just for navigation (iOS nav sucks), it has been used, but the phone itself is in fine condition. Just pst me on [email protected] if interested.

On Vodafone, if you order online, it says that you get $100 free credit.
What exactly does that mean??? I went to Vodafone stores and have been told different things.
One lady said I can use that credit to pay off my bill, that is, $29 for the 1st three months, and then with the $13 left over I can use on the 4th month and just pay the remaining $16. Essentially, it's a min cost price of $596 instead of $696.
Another lady said it was that I get $280 of credit instead of $180 of credit…

More importantly check your Vodafone coverage very carefully, you might have a phone you like with a very poor network coverage especially internet access. Look at Whirlpool for more info on network

Anyone buying from eBay can have warranty issues, if the seller does not pass the invoice or order details. I dont think, vondafone is going to give warranty without the receipts.

Probably on ebay although you'll end up paying more for the phone than the rest of us paid for the phone and the plan.
Another option is to go on a plan yourself over 24 months ($29 x 24), they have $100 online bonus and I think Money Back Co has another $89 or so refund…Definitely cheaper than buying phone and plan seperate!
