I went into Target Ballarat the other day to have a look at some ps4 games and on the way out I noticed some audio cd’s were on sale for $5. Anyway seeing as my car doesn’t have an aux I thought these would be nice all seem to be fairly late releases. I picked up the latest Bon Jovi album, 12th man 2cds (classic imho), maroon 5, u2 and a few others.
Also picked up sting 57th & 9th.

Such things did exist though not widespread here, look up VCD and SVCD. Asian soaps used to be distributed this way.
And of course there are data CDs.

CDs didn’t surpass cassette sales until ‘92. 90’s were the hey day for CD’s.

Picked up the recent cold chisel album for the old man, couple other things in there, new lady Gaga thing, etc. Nothing of note for me personally. That weekend band or whatever had a few albums in there too.
