55 Inch TV under $1200?

  The Hisense 55N7 is well regarded here, plus it comes with a 3 year Warranty - regularly on sale for under the $800 mark - probably a better unit than you will find from Sony or Samsung at $1200.

      I can guarantee you Hisense is a better TV than Sony

  I am interested in a 50" TV. I have narrowed down to the Hisense N7 or the Sony x7000.

  Seems the Hisense is a fair way better with HD content.

  However the Sony displays low res better (better processing) and has better sound.

  Would that be a fair assessment?

  The Sony is a little more expensive ($800 / $1000)

    It was on sale for ~ $840 recently at Bing Lee. I missed out too.. So I'm going to wait for a better deal or look for some other model.

  I'm in the same boat. I've got some vouchers with jbhifi and the hisense 55n7 and LG 55UJ634T are both 998 there. I couldn't really pick between them in the shop. Is there anything I'm missing at this price point and specs?
  Mostly used for broadcast TV and streaming,
