Nexus 5 just died
Just want the best camera / largest onboard storage for the price.
Ideally running a clean version of Android 8.1
Thanks in advance.

You should be able to get a Sammy S7 around that price point.
The Apple 6s is also about that much if that's your thing.
Sony xperia x has a pretty great camera on it.
If you are able to live with a china phone the redmi note 5 is the pick of the bunch.
None of them have 8.1 out of the box so might take a bit of fiddling around.
where can you get Samsung S7 for <$400?
https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=galaxy+s7&…
plenty for ~400, wait for a 10-20% off sale and u can get a local one under $400
Can I buy an international version of redmi note 5 or is it only the Indian version at the moment?
I wouldn't suggest a Redmi note 5 especially if you want a good camera.
Nubia z11 hands down. Camera is fantastic, and low-light performance is good too.
Where did you get yours and for how much I can only find the lite version
I got mine from Aliexpress when it just came out for about $800 AUD, but now you can find it on there for around $365. Take this one for example
Make sure you're looking for the Nubia z11, not the newer z17 lite btw.
Samsung Galaxy S7 is the Bang for Buck king at the moment.
High availability, great price point, lots of accessories.
And the design is top notch, fingerprint scanner is top notch, screen is top notch, storage/memory speed is top notch, camera is one of the best (slightly worse than Pixel/U11/S9+), processor performance is about 93% of the QSD 835, or around 80% of the QSD 845.
So its overall a better device than a new midranger, albeit you'd be getting something "used".
Is it worth getting Samsung S7 Edge over standard ?
sub 400 best camera + storage = lg v20
no android 8.1
