I've been looking for an entry level treadmill for a week or so and monitoring the deals. Even if you don't want to spend too much from what I've read, I read that you should still get above a 2.0 Continuous HP (CHP) power unit for longevity. I stayed clear of the 1.5 CHP units.
The Vulcan looks like a good deal at $551.20 for a no-frills 4.0 CHP unit. The Torque II has more bells and whistles and I've been looking at it at $899 for a while so at 20% off it's $719.20 which is a good deal if you are in the market for a treadmill since I've seen them sell second hand for at least $400 for a several year old unit so the resale for Lifespan isn't all that bad.
Note that I did pick up a second hand BH Fitness model for $250 nearby because I wasn't sure whether my wife and I would use it for a clothes hanger, but I'd probably get the Vulcan if I was still in the market now for a entry level unit that will last a while.
A few models linked below:
Apex (choice awarded, 2.5 CHP) $911.20 + $118.19 Standard Postage
Boost-R (choice awarded, 2.0 CHP) $759.20 + $69.24 Standard Postage
Torque II (2.75 CHP) $719.20 + $98.39 Standard Postage
Vulcan (4.0 CHP) $551.20 + $120.94 Standard Postage
I just want to know why all the promotional images are just 3D renderings? Surely they'd have a picture of the actual product?
