Item's been rated 4.9 stars out of 5 by 34 votes, and the store has been open for 5 years and has a 97.5% positive feedback score (so pretty trustworthy).

Additionally, when checking out on my PC, Aliexpress applied a 'Select coupon' which brought the price down to $129 dollars, but there was no coupon code and the discount was automatically selected and applied for me.

ALSO, don't forget 10% cashback on the item bringing it down by another $13 dollars to about $117.

PS. I'm probably doing myself a disservice posting this bargain here because it'll just slow down the handling time of my own purchase, but whatever haha.

Sure only $117, but are you prepared to loose this and all your data in 6 or 12 or 14 months ?

Good luck getting any warranty with Aliexpress, NO PAypal and boy oh boy, what an unpredictable support system, they seem to flip a coin on any ruling if products are faulty…
so it's been about 50/50 for me anyway. Honestly, not worth the 2-10% saving

You make a good point, and I respect that.

Btw, it's about a 25% savings on the standard ~$160 price but sure :)

    • Yeah I am too scared to honestly gamble at this price.. losing 200 gb + of data or getting a dud card after a few months is not a nice thing to have.. maybe for a cheap 32 gb micro SD card but not a 256 gb one.

The 2-10% saving i refereed to was comparison buying from Ali without Paypal as opposed to other places that sell cheap memory with PP. Even with PP… what chance to get a refund after 6 months ?

And saving $25, is it worth risking $117 and all the hassle.
I have a pet cemetery container full of cheapo memory cards, just as a reminder how cheap I am, thinking of saving a few bucks…
In the end, not one of them are still working !
    Says a lot yeah.

people expect too much from micro sd cards, i use them in raspberry pi and they are physically fragile, and the market was never for long term durable storage. it’s just that capacity has grown so much, beyond the capacity the format was originally designed for, hence new electrical standards to keep up with size but no change to physical standard.

the idea was back up your camera or phone to storage outside of the device, where are the 60 gb of precious photos and movies if you loose the phone, camera, or the card.

when an ssd is for sale on ozbargain people pick apart nand type, controller etc , never see that with micro sd card

I can't even pronounce that brand name

    Surely that's bad for marketing

I have the USB stick and it uses kingston chip.
So far I got no data loss. :)
